What is a custom wig/unit?

A custom wig/unit is the same thing but it is a handmade wig, these units are created in-house by Eldridge Mullenhof. It is important to know any lace wig/unit can be customized by us, for example, custom colour, lace tinting, plucking the lace etc. A unit is the same as a wig.

What is the difference between a Full Lace Wig, Lace Front Wig and a Lace Closure Wig?

Full Lace Wigs - These units have hair individual hair strands sewn into the breathable lace cap that covers the entire circumference of the head. All of our full lace wigs have a soft natural hairline already and some are customized even more for a flawless natural hairline. The difference will always be listed. 

Lace Front Wigs - These units have from ear to ear a lace that is usually pre-plucked for a natural hairline and at the back extension wedges hand sewn into the breathable wig cap. The lace front wig has different sizes from the nape to the centre of the head.

Lace Closure Wigs - These units are slightly similar to their lace front partners, however, the lace is in a smaller size and can be installed on anywhere on the forehead area of the unit. For example, you can have a side-part lace closure unit or a centre part lace closure unit

Wig Installations

How can I make an appointment for my wig install?

After the purchase of your Emotion Wig, you can leave a note at the end of your order or use the contact us page and send us an email with your order number. Expressing that you would like to book your wig install, we would then inform you of the next available space for an appointment. In some cases, you can request that we keep the unit with us until you arrive for the install service and the shipping cost will be deducted from the cost for the install.

When is the best time to make an appointment for my wig installation?

We recommend that you try booking a month in advance, there are no guarantees of space available in the same month of purchase for your unit installation. It will be more possible when you do an advance booking since our unit installation calendar is very limited each month.

When will I know when my unit is ready for shipping?

You will be notified by email every step of the way about the progress of your order.

How can I view my order history & customer details?

Every customer has the option to create an account with us where your order history and customer details are stored for you to see. We do not have access to your passwords, therefore, any troubleshooting issues with your will be based on the electronic system for your password reset. We suggest you use something you are familiar with or save your password in your mobile phone or browser. This section does not track your shipping. 

How can I track my shipping?

Your shipping is tracked by the track and trace details you will receive by email from our courier service.

It is important to note next to each product how long each unit takes to be made & customized before shipping to you. All our wigs are customized before it gets to you, therefore each individual order requires time to be processed effectively at this time there are no ready-to-go units available all orders are custom and this determines your shipping time.

Which courier or shipping service does Emotion Wigs use?

We use FedEx for all our Domestic and International shipping fulfilment.
